Campaigning sure is tough work! In just
one day
last week, we drove from New York to
California, with stops at
Mount Rushmore, the Mississippi and
the Mojave.
In case we didn't get to see you
personally, here are a few polaroids
we took along the way.
And don't feel too dejected if you
didn't see us. We're on the road
constantly between now and election
day, whenever that is.
Just look for two guys in a 1952 MG
TD--behind the tow truck.
August 30, 2000. Our official press conference announcing the start of
our campaign. Man, oh man, was this a great speech! Too bad our Producer,
Dougie Berman, was the only guy who showed.
Tommy will be President Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and Ray will get
the Oval Office Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We're working on getting
Garrison Keillor to cover Sunday.
Less than 24 hours after we announced our campaign, this nice man from
Phillip Morris came up and gave us these bags of cash-- just because he
likes us!
Campaigning from the back of a train worked for Truman, right? So, we
thought we'd try to dig him up and give it a whirl again! How's it going,
Har?
